Valerie Pigatt is a Florida Licensed Certified Public Accountant. She is current a Controller with the National Federation of Public and Private Employees, AFL-CIO. She manages two of its divisions- The Federation of Public Employees, AFL-CIO and The Federation of Private Employees, AFL-CIO, as well as the Charles J “Chuck Browne Scholarship Fund.
She has over 5 years of Corporate Accounting Experience, three years of Public Accounting Experience, three years of Governmental Accounting Experience, one year of Fund Accounting experience and six years of Not for Profit Accounting Experience.
She is received her Associate of Arts degree in Business from Miami Dade Community College. She received her Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University. She received her Masters of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University. She passed all four parts of the CPA exam the first time only ten percent in Nation does that! She is a fraternity member of Beta Alpha Psi.
She is a single mother of three sons.
